Email reliability in China
Dear friends,
We have learned that not all our emails have been delivered (although they didn't bounce back). Thus, we have decided to ask for read receipts (despite disliking being asked for them ourselves!). This should help us see how well email works here (or not...).
If you have not heard from us in a long time, it might a. be on purpose or b. our emails got lost in cyberspace (Catherine, Hilde, Liz, Ivano, Jason, did you get our longish emails?). We will try to resend messages soon.
Also, we are going to get ADSL and hopefully we'll be sorted then.
Skype does generally work and we had our first videoskype with B and K. It is really nice to see familiar faces, oddly enough with round eyes! How do you guys do it?

Hello, hello :)
Yes, I did get your email and thank you for sharing your wild and funny adventures! It really must be funny to see you two react to all that is new and different there :) Love that you have a sense of humor and that Lee is keeping track of you. The hair thing is such a laugh but I know you look great even bald :) Just don't go on and do it. Watch Lee!!
How is running going for the 2 of you? Is it getting any easier? Not that you said it was difficult to get started. How is the weather there for running? I am sure you know that it has rained here quite a bit, but it has not been that bad :) It is getting darker now and a bit colder in the mornings and evening.
Girl!!!!! Pick that tea!!! How is your diet going? Have you eaten anything strange or made any attempt to? You funny rich Westerners (thought that was funny)!! They probably think your strange as well :) Don't they all know that it is they that are strange!! Hahahahahaha..........
Well, nothing on our house :( but we are doing just fine and not worried. We are really getting excited about the trip. We leave the 10th of Nov. and return the 2 of Dec. Maybe Jana and I will stay longer. She is doing great and if you can believe it (you probably won't) she said your name when she saw your picture. I have it posted in the kitchen along with all the others and often we look at them and say everyones names. It was a "what did you say" moment. I could not believe it myself. She trys to talk and says so many words now. She repeats a lot of word that she hears us say. We are having on hell of a good time with her. She walks great now! She says "hello madam" to all the ladies (grandma taught her that).
Loving my Dutch and cooking class and yeah, I'll try some cooking on you; just don't choke :) Well pretty lady. Time to get some work done here. It is always great to hear from you; like a breath of fresh wind :) hehehe... Our best and warmest regards to the man in your house (Lee....in case you are wondering) ;) Sorry for making this an email and not a short comment. I just got carried away and didn't feel like deleting it and starting all over again. Now who is lazy??? Yeah, go pick that tea and make me a cup!!!
Lots of love,
Liz, Lieven and Jana
